Castle in the Sky is a Studio Ghibli film. It was directed by Hayo Miyazaki. This review is about wether or not the film is worth checking out.

The Plot:

Sheeta is a young girl. She meets a young guy named Pazu. Pazu helps Sheeta, because Sheeta is being chased by a villainous colonel and some pirates. However the colonel gets Sheeta. Because of this Pazu decides to become allies with the pirates. The pirates turn out to not be as villainous as they seemed to be so it's up to Pazu, Sheeta, and the pirates to stop the colonel.

Castle in the Sky is more action packed than most if not all Studio...

100 Rules of Anime

The laws of Anime is a growing list of physical, universal, and natural phenomenon that seem to appear in various forms in all sorts of anime. The original intent was an effort to classify these incidents into a list of "laws" that explained how Anime physics are different from our own (real?) world. It is our hope that you find them useful to studying Anime, or at the very least, worth good chuckle.

#1 - Law of Metaphysical Irregularity- The normal laws of physics do not apply.

#2 - Law of Differential Gravitation- Whenever someone or something jumps, is
thrown, or otherwise...

When it comes to anime, especially those involving the undead, there's not really a whole lot that involve zombies. Sure, there's Corpse Princess, but the "zombies" in that show are more like demons... which makes High School of the Dead truly one of a kind in the horror anime department.

What do you get when you take a George A. Romero zombie movie like Night of the Living Dead or Dawn of the Dead, combine it with an ecchi/harem anime such as Love Hina, and throw in a few elements from Splatterhouse and Dead Rising? You get High School of the Dead, a 12-episode anime series based on the manga...

Funimation is one of the more well known dubbing companies.
I'm sorry... but I have to get this off of my chest.

Anyone who is familiar with me will know that, when it comes to anime shows, I always watch the english dub. I only watch anime with subs if the anime hasn't been dubbed yet (which is usually the case for most of the anime I watch) or has been dubbed by a company I don't trust (I'm looking at you, Ocean Productions).

However, it seems that according to the fans of anime, watching english dubs is a sin against god. They think that the english language is terrible and would prefer the japanese language. Honestly, this makes me sick. It makes...

Gerard Walker

Gerard is Takumi's older half-brother, a successful businessman who bears a resemblance to Usui, save the difference in their hair colour. He and Usui do not appear to be on good terms, possibly because Usui is an illegitimate child; however, he expresses an interest in Usui's activities in Japan and arranges for his bodyguard Cedric to spy on his brother. His talents appear to be the polar opposite of Usui's, which includes being unskilled at cooking. Though he appears devious and calculating, he is strangely jovial and enjoys teasing Cedric, similar to how Usui makes fun of his acquaintances. It is hinted that Gerard is extremely sick with an unknown illness.
After finally releasing my thoughts on anime from 2015 I now have decided to release and updated version, you could almost look at it as a growth in opinion. The list that I have not seen has not changed and I would like to make a couple additions to it while I'm here:

kill la kill, elfen lied, angel beats, ergo proxy, something kenshin, beserk, fairy tail, my hero academy, guren lagan, gintama, d gray man, hxh, nichijou, evangelion, Demon Slayer

Baccano
Bakemonogatari (you know why)
Black bullet
Shinsekai yori

ok, i'm getting stick and
tried of people talking bad
about orihime! "she is a
poor,undeveloped
character" i disagree with this if she
was a"poor and undeveloped"
character than she wont have been in
the top 10 in the 1st polls of the
manga. She would be in manga to
begin with or have a personailty or
have no fans, thats undeveloped!
"she is annoying" people say this
due to her saying "kurosaki-kun" a
lot which is only said in the japanese
version, watch the english dub if you
dont like it! If she is so annoying,
than give examples dont just say it!
"she is useless" WRONG!!! if it wasnt
for her ichigo wont be...

Yuki Nagato. Jumped in the middle of the fight. And grabed Ryoko Asakuras knife. Yuki's hand was bleeding. But she diden't surrender. Yuki was proceting Kyon while Yuki nagato got killed by Ryoko Asakura and Yuki nagato still lived. And Yuki nagato was stabed multiple times By Ryoko Asakura. And Yuki nagato diden't even die. Yuki Nagato feels no pain. When Yuki nagato started Fighting Ryoko Asakura. fighting Ryoko Asakura. Yuki Nagato at the end of the fight Yuki Used her power to dissinigrate Ryoko Asakura. Please note that I'm not that well-versed in presentation, so I encourage constructive criticism here, especially.

Major Spoilers Ahead

You wanna know the first thing that I noticed that immediately turned me off to the show? The character designs. I instantly didn't like them, for quite a few reasons:

1. Anime Face Syndrome: this is a term I personally made up because I'm tired of using the whole explanation. Anime face syndrome is all over anime hence its name. What it does is convey the same facial features that every other anime has: A line as a lip, a dot as a nose, big round eyes and pale...

As I've said before I think there are 3 definitions to the word underrated. Today I will be talking about gems but this will be a three-part since the anime all have different tones and purposes.

Definition 3: no one has heard of it but you, making it a hidden gem that unfortunately leaves its future survival to small groups of dedicated advocates but more likely than not will be forgotten with the sands of time.

Of course this is slightly exaggerated since I'm sure most of you will be able to point out one or two you recognize or even watched or not even have a same definition of Mature as...

You know, whenever you think of a good action manga involving a lot of fight scenes, you probably think of manga like Dragon Ball Z, Naruto, or One Piece. But not me, good sir. Oh no, I prefer to read a more civilised manga. Like Jojo…. Wait, that’s probably equally as stupid if not more, isn’t it.
Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure is a manga series, spanning from 1986 to today, having 8 different volumes. Part 1, Phantom Blood, follows the gentleman Jonathan Joestar who goes to defeat the vampire Dio. Part 2, Battle Tendency, has Jonathan’s grandson, Joseph Joestar, battle against the ancient...
